You will learn scientific and technical skills used in environmental impact assessment and management practices, waste management, pollution monitoring, and energy management. You will also learn about biology, wetland management, soil science, statistical and geographical information systems (GIS), computing applications, and environmental issues and laws.

Completing this qualification gives automatic entry into the 5019 Diploma of Environmental Science (Management) 52017, but it will also allow you to seek employment as an assistant environmental technician/technical officer, assistant field hydrologist, water resource officer or catchment coordinator for local government.
