A convention called \”Clean Gulf 2010\” will come together to discuss various industry strategies and provide training from 18-20 October 2010.  In attendance are oil corporations, regulatory agencies, manufacturers and associations – all involved in the oil industry. The event is co-hosted by the Gulf  States, U.S. Coast Guards and the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Attendees to the event want to ensure safer alternatives should there be another disaster anywhere. They say that dispersants used in the Gulf oil are 4 times more toxic than the oil itself.
