Bachelor of Science (Advanced)

Share:

The structure is similar to the Bachelor of Science during the first year. There are additional subjects such as Research, Science and Society and internships or placements with research groups and organisations. Academic advisers can help you design a course to match your interests and career aspirations.

The course allows highly motivated, inquiring students to develop their potential as professional scientists. In their first year students select two disciplines from a range of subjects, laying the foundation for specialisation in later years. Science research internship and individual mentoring are features of the program. Through fieldwork and practical experience students undertake hands-on study and research in the field (eg, tropical rainforests, coastal wetlands, mangroves, tropical savanna, and the Great Barrier Reef).
