A practical integration of disciplines is carried out via field work. This degree provides electives that allow students to explore their areas of interest. The content is globally focused, making this qualification relevant worldwide. Students can apply for a postgraduate industry internship in the final semester of the Master’s program. This includes the option of being involved in a client based environmental management capstone project or a research dissertation.

Work Experience and Internships

Internships and work placements are encouraged. They provide students with the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge learnt while studying and maximise opportunities for career progression after they complete their studies. An Industry Placements Officer assists students in sourcing work experience and internship opportunities.

Professional Outcomes

The Master of Environmental Management (Sustainable Development) will provide you with the skills to be a sustainability professional in business, industry, government, non-government organisations and private consultancies. Potential fields of employment include corporate social responsibility, ethical supply chain management, sustainable technology development, green investment and carbon management.

Entry requirements

Australian residents living in Queensland

Australian residents living outside Queensland

Please contact your nearest Bond University Admissions Manager to arrange a personal interview and lodge a Direct Entry Application Form for Undergraduate Study with the Bond University Office of Admissions, or complete the form online.

International students

If you are an international student, you will need to apply either directly by completing a Direct Entry Application Form for Undergraduate Study (accompanied by documented proof of your English language proficiency) or through one of our in-country representatives.

Academic Requirements

Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent. The Bond College offers a Foundation Program for students who do not currently have the required academic qualifications.

English Language Requirements

If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide documented evidence that you have achieved an IELTS score = 6.5 (no subscore less than 6.0); TOEFL score 570 (TWE 5#); [CBT 230, Essay 5.0; iBT 89 min. all sections 20, writing = 22] for direct entry. The Bond College offers a Foundation Program for students whose English language proficiency does not meet the levels required for direct entry, as specified above.
