Exhausted and your assignment’s due date is near? That’s okay. We all have our good and bad days. Seems really hard but lacking motivation to do things is completely normal and you can attain the energy. It’s times like these when we need to find motivation within ourselves. The next time you’re feeling exhausted, unmotivated, or tired at work, try one or a few of these 10 ways to get motivated again.

Stop thinking about how tired you are

When you get to know that you have a looming task to you and the date is due, your mind starts playing tricks with you. You feel the urge to watch television and procrastinate. According to a research, before we start a big project, our brain attempts to stimulate our productive work by focusing on minor, boring tasks. That results in delaying the tasks that are most meaningful. The longer we procrastinate, the more anxious we feel. This is one of the reasons that you don’t need a particular thing to get yourself motivated, all you need to do is to just get started without thinking about how tired or sleepy you might be.

Grab Dome Caffeine

Caffeine increases sense of motivation if you are not a regular caffeine consumer. It improves attentiveness in small to reasonable quantities depending on the person. Make sure to not consume it in large quantity, it can be as dangerous as energy drinks. It acts as a diuretic and results in increased fluid loss from the body. Despite of a little harmful facts, it may have a future as a platform for cancer treatment when attached to additional molecules. It produces positivity in human mood, which in turn helps them feel motivated.

Make a to-do-list

We all lack will power and once it is used, we have a hard time on staying on task. When our energy level is low, it can be hard to get in that get-stuff-done phase. Research shows that when we make a to-do list and write down all our goal on it, we are more likely to achieve them. This small step is a gateway to productivity and keeps you away from procrastinating. Make your list in such a way that you start doing it with easier tasks and save the daunting ones for last. By doing so, you can cross items on the list faster. It will keep you motivated and you will feel good about it.

Change in Routine:

Design your routine in a way that you do the tough tasks at the time when you feel most focused and active in a day. If you are completing your assignment after coming from work or school, change your routine and concentrate on making a schedule. When your day is scheduled properly you are able to focus more and complete your task with lesser effort comparatively.

Set Deadlines:

Deadlines and goals are one of the best ways to keep yourself on track irrespective of what you’re aiming for. When you tell yourself, “I will finish this task on this date” it not only gives you the deadline, it gives you something solid to work toward.

If you’re struggling to meet that deadline or you just can’t seem to take a self-induced deadline seriously, you might need to try a few different things. One of the best ways to meet deadlines is to keep your friends or concerned family member about it. This will be a good way to keep yourself motivated to complete an assignment.

Take a nap before starting

Power nap is the best way to unleash your brain’s natural energy. Napping increases the alertness in your body if it lasts for 29 to 40 minutes. According to researcher, the best time to take nap in a day is between 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Try napping between this times. Napping late will affect your night sleep.

Change you learning style

When you’re struggling to get through your assignment, it might simply be because you’re not making it worthwhile to yourself. For example, if you have an option to choose a topic yourself i.e what caused hurricane katrina for your assignment, choose the one that interests you the most. . If it’s not working, don’t be afraid to ditch it entirely and try something new. Doing so will help you stay motivated.
