About Us

Launched in July 2010, world.edu delivers information and opportunities to individuals and organisations who are embracing the future – today.

We don’t preach to our users about the benefits of sustainability and the dangers of climate change. Our users already know they want to make a difference. They want real jobs, real courses and real opportunities. They want a place where they can learn, grow and be heard.

Our mission is to provide these things – today. We believe this makes us different.

Our Community

world.edu took its first step in the big green world on Monday 26th July. Our web developers would prefer to name the site “beta” but the rest of the team prefer the description: toddler – that stage between infancy and childhood. Like we are here but boy have we got a lot of growing to do!

Right now this minute you can:

and of course leave you feedback and suggestions using the comments form below or by emailing us here.

In the very near future you will be able to:

  • Create your own profile page
  • Find answers in the world.edu forums

And not far off we will be offering our users the opportunity to become a Gold Level Member of the world.edu communitty. Our Gold level members will receive:

  • A prestigious @world.edu email address (note: all names must be approved prior to activation)
  • Access to subscription only content and services provided by world.edu and it’s selected partners
  • The ability to post content such as events and campaigns that are specific to you.
  • 25 GB of online storage per user with Microsoft Windows Live™ SkyDrive™
  • Online collaboration and the space to store more than 5 GB of documents with Microsoft Office Live Workspace.
  • Entitlement to “early-bird” notification and 10% discount on specific world.edu products and services, and those of selected partners.

Our Partners

world.edu has been developed to provide educational, commercial and not for profit organisations with a vehicle to:

  • Build awareness for their brand or cause
  • Advertise for staff and volunteers
  • Showcase their research and achievements
  • Promote the courses they have to offer
  • Notify of upcoming events and conferences

all while providing their staff and members with an opportunity to participate in a global community .

We feel privileged to say that, even at this early stage of the project, world.edu has some great partners who are making amazing opportunities available to our users.

Of course, we hope this list will continue to grow, so if you think your organisation can benefit from partnering with us, we’d love to hear from you.
