Students develop a range of skills and knowledge in areas of animal health, nutrition, breeding and laboratory procedures.
Students will study:
- anaesthesia in animals
- analyse data and interpret results
- animal health and wellbeing
- aseptic techniques
- behavioural enrichment
- breeding procedures
- general care of animals
- nutrition of research animals
While undertaking this qualification, the learner will have access to an animal technology workplace through a period of work placement or work experience.
